Drive up highway 33 until you get to the Rose Valley Recreation area turn off, then drive down to the Piedra Blanka trail head. from the parking area hike the trail to Piedra Blanka and when you cross the second creek turn right. hike on for 45 minutes then head for the creek at the trail down to the cotton woods and fish!

#12-14 Elk Hair Caddis is all you need. If you have never been to Piedra Blanca it’s the shortest route to the surface of the moon. you should go.
